A green course is set on the island state of Malta
The island’s largest coach company, Zarb Coaches, was given solar cells in mid-August 2020 on a minibus and a large tourist coach with the green slogan: This coach has solar cells … good for the environment.
Green Energy sent their Technical Director, Jens Ottosen to Malta to train the workshop staff in the installation of solar cells with a view to Zarb Coach’s strategy in the field of photovoltaic technology.
Manuel Zarb/CEO at Zarb Coaches explains:
“Zarb buses fully understand the importance of utilizing all methods to reduce Nox and CO2 pollution from diesel vehicles. Our beautiful island deserves this, and we are proud to be part of this climate-friendly transition.
The CIGS Solar cell technique from Green Energy / mipv.pro is excellent in performance, installation and cost. Our goal is to install the system on more vehicles as soon as possible, as we not only benefit from a fuel reduction, but also appreciate the savings on generators and batteries over the lifetime of the vehicles. After full training in product knowledge and assembly, we are now ready to service the industry here in Malta.”
Malta also serves the island with more than 400 city buses. After a meeting, the CityBus company’s technical manager was very excited about the possibilities of additional power production from CIGS Solar Cells and will shortly have a decision taken in the installation of solar cells on a number of these city buses.
